Batman: Return of the Joker byl vyvinut a vydán Sunsoft jako druhá hra v jejich Batman sérii pro NES. Hra se odklonila od originálu tím, že se zaměřila na komiksovou verzi Batmana místo filmové. Příběh byl samostatný a nezachycoval existující příběhovou linii. Jde o side-scrolling plošinovku s beat 'em up prvky.
