Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games je pátý díl série Mario & Sonic. Na rozdíl od předchozích her byl tentokrát oficiálně licencován Mezinárodním olympijským výborem pro 31. letní olympijské hry konané v Rio de Janeiru v Brazílii. Hra obsahuje dva nové herní módy, Golf a Rugby, spolu s dvaceti novými postavami – deseti ze série Mario a deseti ze série Sonic the Hedgehog.
