O hře
Verze hry pro PlayStation 2 se od verzí pro Wii a PS3 v několika ohledech liší. Chybí jí například kooperativní režim nebo volně průchozí Kraj. Naopak nabízí arénový režim, který verze pro Wii a PS3 nemají, a úrovně odehrávající se v Caradhrasu, u Erebor bran (včetně souboje s hlídačem ve vodě) a v Dunharrow — oblasti, které se ve verzích pro Wii/PS3 nevyskytují. Tato verze se hraje z izometrického pohledu shora ze tří čtvrtin a je spíš akční RPG hrou se správou statistik a zkušenostními body na speciální schopnosti. Verze pro Wii/PS3 žádnou správu statistik ani zkušenostní body nenabízí, kromě zmíněné možnosti sbírat předměty na vylepšení útoku a obrany postav.
