Spyro: Year of the Dragon je třetí díl série Spyro a poslední hra, kterou Insomniac vyvinul. V tomto 3D dobrodružství musí Spyro získat zpět 150 vajec, která ukradla zlá Čarodějnice z Dragonworld. Aby přežil, musí využít veškeré typické pohyby i několik nově naučených, jako je schopnost řídit vozidla jako tanky, ponorky a rychlostní čluny. Jako bonus si lze vybrat z výstřední sestavy postav: Sheila klokanka, seržant Byrd létající tučňák, Bentley Yeti a Agent 9 vesmírná opice.
